About Us

Who We Are

At Painting Tips, we bring over three decades of hands-on experience in construction, paint application, and home decoration to every article we publish.

Our journey started in 1995, working across a wide range of trades — from plumbing and adhesives to construction chemicals and building materials. Over the years, we moved increasingly toward paint and decoration, and by 2008 it had become our primary focus. What we know today didn’t come from textbooks. It came from job sites, from real customer problems, and from finding solutions that actually work.

That field experience shapes everything we write. Whether we’re breaking down the difference between paint finishes, comparing the best exterior wall paints on the market, or walking you through a stain removal method step by step, our advice is grounded in what we’ve seen work — and what we’ve seen fail.

We closely follow the American paint market and regularly review products from the leading brands, including Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Behr, PPG, and Valspar. Our goal is to give US homeowners — and readers everywhere — clear, reliable guidance they can act on.

Although our team is based outside the United States, we built Paintingtips.net specifically for the American market. Paint products, color trends, application standards, and home improvement expectations in the US are distinctly their own — and that’s exactly the audience we write for.

Paintingtips.net covers five core areas: Painting Tips, Paint Colors, Paint & Stain Removal, Home Decoration, and Home Repair & DIY. Each section reflects a part of our professional background, and every article is written with the same standard we’d apply to our own work.

We launched this site on November 2, 2023, with one purpose: to make professional-grade knowledge accessible to anyone picking up a brush, choosing a color, or tackling a repair at home.

Browse our guides, explore our color recommendations, or reach out through our Contact page — we’re here to help you get it right the first time.
